10 months ago – Mon, Nov 24, 2025 at 05:49:29 AM

Cosmic crew… you’ve been busy.

In just a few days, you’ve carried Life After Everything: Astro Oceans past multiple milestones, and as I’m writing this, we’ve already sailed beyond 50k. I’m honestly blown away. 💛

Today’s update is a double feature:

• 25k Stretch Goal – Ready to Play Celestials (Unlocked!)
• Next Stretch Goal – 75k: King of Nebulae STL (Revealed!)

Let’s dive in.

🌠 25k Unlocked – Ready to Play Celestials

✅ Ready to Play Character Pack — Unlocked

We’re creating a PDF pack of ready-to-play celestials for the Astro Oceans TTRPG:

• A selection of unique characters with names, backstories, and motives
• Pre-built stats so you can start playing in minutes
• A mix of archetypes: explorers, mystics, wanderers, guardians, and a few weirdos in between
• Perfect for one-shots, quick-start sessions, or dropping into your own campaigns

🎁 Who gets it?
Every backer.

It’s our way of making sure that when your books and decks arrive, you can gather a few friends, pick a celestial, and immediately start building new worlds from the ashes of the old ones.

👑 Next Stretch Goal – 75k: King of Nebulae STL

With 25k unlocked, it’s time to reveal the next big star on the horizon…

🎯 75,000 – King of Nebulae STL

If we reach 75k, we’ll unlock the King of Nebulae as a 3D-printable STL file:

• A towering celestial entity born from drifting star-clouds and forgotten empires
• Designed as a dramatic centerpiece mini for your Astro Oceans sessions, altars, or display shelves
• Ideal for tabletop scale (think around 32mm heroic or larger as a boss)

🎁 Who gets it?
When we hit 75k, the King of Nebulae STL will be added as a digital reward for all backers.

You’ll be able to print your own King of Nebulae at home or through a local / online 3D print service, and bring this cosmic monarch to your table as an ally, patron, or terrifying force of nature.

How You Can Help Us Reach 75k (and Beyond)

Right now, the biggest boosts you can give the campaign are beautifully simple:

• Share the campaign link with a friend who loves tarot, TTRPGs, or cosmic weirdness
• Post your favorite image from the page on social media with a line about why you backed
• Comment on the campaign with what you’re most excited to use first: the deck, the RPG, the art, or all of it together

Every share, every comment, every little ripple helps the Astro Oceans reach new shores.

From 25k pre-generated celestials, to the looming King of Nebulae at 75k… you’re literally shaping what this universe becomes.

Alongside this campaign, we’re running a Community Mystery Stretch Goal on Instagram and Facebook. When our announcement post reaches 200 shares, we’ll unlock a secret reward for everyone. 🎁

Behind the Cards: The Cosmic Cycle on Every Back
10 months ago – Sat, Nov 22, 2025 at 05:35:49 AM

Hey Star-Sailors 🌊✨

You’ve seen the faces of the cards… now it’s time to finally show you their backs, the image you’ll probably spend the most time with while shuffling, cutting, and drawing from the deck. in this update we’re sharing some of the artworks, drafts, and concept explorations that led us here, and the story they’re all built around.

The back design for Life After Everything: Astro Oceans wasn’t just “cool space art.” It was carefully built to feel like a cycle of life every time you hold the deck in your hands.

A cycle of life on the back of every card

Concept card-back explorations — final Cosmic & Gold decks will differ

From the first sketches, the goal was for the card back to feel like a cycle of life you could trace with your eyes:

At the bottom, waves, and a lone figure on the shore represent the “old world” and that moment before a big leap.

In the middle, the water spirals upward into a cosmic current, wrapping around a ringed planet, the turning point where choices, change, and growth collide.

At the top, we rise fully into the stars: eclipsed suns, birds in flight, and a field of starlight where two mirrored figures reach toward each other.

Even in these early concepts, the composition loops in an endless curve, so the whole back feels like a continuous journey of endings, crossings, and returns.

Where Life After Everything lives in the cycle

The core idea of Life After Everything is what happens after the old world falls away, when you’re standing in the ruins, choosing what to carry forward and what new world you want to build.

That’s baked into this back:

The shoreline is the “everything” that’s ended.
The spiraling current is the passage through uncertainty, grief, and transformation.
The ringed planet with our sigil is that “click” moment where you realize you are not just moving through the story, you’re shaping it.
The celestial sky and the mirrored figures are the new world: the future you’re in conversation with every time you pull a card.
So even before you see a single tarot image, the back of the deck is already telling the story:
Endings, crossings, and the worlds we choose to create next.

Thank you for asking (loudly!) to see the back of the cards, your excitement pushed us to make sure it carried the full spirit of the project.

What part of the design speaks to you most, the shoreline, the ringed planet, or the mirrored figures? Let us know in the comments 💬

More peeks are coming soon. Until then: keep sailing the star-seas. 🌌🜁
