What’s the difference between the Cosmic Deck and the Gold Edition Deck?
The base artwork is the same across both decks; what changes is the world they live in:
Cosmic Deck – Black-and-white linework with shimmering holographic foil that catches the light like starlight in deep space.
Gold Edition – A soft, milky blue palette with rich gold foil accents that feel like illuminated manuscript meets star-myth. On some cards, the foil details change, e.g., the Ace of Nebulae (Gold Edition) has gold-foiled stars that glow against the softer colors.
Both the Cosmic Deck and the Gold Edition are printed in standard tarot size (70mm x 120mm / 2.75” x 4.75”) on premium 350 GSM card stock. The difference is in the foil, and color palette, not the size or quality.

Is the journal just lined pages, or is it designed specifically for this deck?
The journal is not just blank or lined pages. It’s designed specifically for this project, with themed prompts and exercises to help you explore the cards, your “inner cosmos,” and your own stories alongside the deck.

What’s the difference between the Astro Oceans Core Rulebook and the LAE Tarot Guidebook?
The Astro Oceans Core Rulebook is the main TTRPG book, it contains the rules, systems, and tools you need to play the tabletop game with a group.
The Life After Everything Tarot Guidebook is focused on the tarot deck itself: card meanings, spreads, journaling prompts, and in the second half it becomes a solo journaling RPG called The Alchemist Way.

Was AI used for the art in this project?
No. No AI was used for the art in this project. All illustrations are original, hand-created artwork in procreate.

Can I choose which signed art print I receive?
Yes! The signed art print won’t be locked to just the one shown in the image. Near the end of the campaign, I’ll share a gallery of available prints, and in the backer survey you’ll be able to choose which one you want.

Is the solo RPG a separate product, or is it included with the tarot?
The solo journaling RPG, The Alchemist Way, is included inside the LAE Tarot Guidebook (both the physical book and the PDF). You don’t need to buy a separate product to access it.

How is this deck different from a standard tarot deck?
The structure is rooted in classic tarot, but the world, suits, and symbolism are reimagined through the Astro Oceans setting. You’ll see renamed suits, cosmic archetypes, and lore-based imagery that ties into the larger Life After Everything universe, while still being usable for both traditional tarot reading and story-driven exploration.

Do you offer a larger container / storage box as an add-on?
Yes! We’ve added the Celestial Archive Box as an add-on. It’s designed to hold multiple items from the campaign together in one themed, collectible box.
Last updated: November 25, 2025 20:32
What kind of box does the tarot deck come in?
The tarot deck comes in a sturdy magnetic-closure box designed for long-term use and protection. It’s meant to feel like an art object you’ll want to keep on display, not just a temporary tuck box.

Why is the estimated delivery so far out? Will it really take that long?
The date listed (November 2026) is a conservative safety buffer that accounts for printing, freight, and any unexpected delays. Our goal is to deliver earlier than that, but on Kickstarter we’re encouraged to set realistic timelines rather than overly optimistic ones. We’ll keep backers updated throughout production so you can follow along.

When do I give my shipping address? I’m moving before the estimated delivery date.
Kickstarter usually doesn’t collect shipping addresses during the campaign. After the campaign ends and we get closer to fulfillment, we’ll send out a backer survey where you’ll enter (or update) your shipping address. That’s the address we’ll use when rewards are ready to ship, so you’ll have time to move and update details before anything goes out.

What languages will the deck, books, and PDFs be available in?
For this campaign, all of the texts (cards, books, and PDFs) will be in English only. I’d love to explore translations in the future once the core edition is complete, so feel free to tell me which language you’d be most excited to see.
Last updated: November 25, 2025 20:32
Can I add extra decks or items to my pledge later?
Absolutely. You’ll be able to add extra decks and other items as add-ons either during the campaign or later in the pledge manager. So if you decide you “simply must” have both decks (or an extra copy for a friend), you’ll have options.
Last updated: November 25, 2025 20:32
How will you keep us updated on progress?
We’ll be posting regular Kickstarter updates on things like:
Art and layout milestones Printing and production progress Shipping timelines and surveys Any unlocked stretch goals
You’ll be able to follow along with the whole journey from campaign to delivery.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
